CHECK IN
You are required to show a photo identification and credit card under your name upon check-in. You will be asked to pay a deposit of €120 by credit card on arrival to guarantee that the rented accommodation will be used properly.
STAY CONFIRMATION AND TERMS OF PAYMENT
All reservations must systematically be guaranteed with a credit card.
Reservations on the FLEXIBLE RATE require a simple credit card imprint (credit/debit card pre authorization) for validation.
Final payment is to be made upon your arrival at MARKUS.
ARRIVAL TIME
Reception is open from 7am to 8pm (Sunday 8am to 8pm). Rooms are available from 4pm.
In the event of arrival after 8pm, please contact us on 02 30 31 41 00. Otherwise we cannot guarantee your reservation or cancel it.
For reasons of confidentiality and security, you must ring and identify yourself at the entrance to MARKUS hotel before we can open the door.
Once you have received your access badge on arrival, the hotel is open 24 hours a day.
CHECKOUT
Please clear your room by 11am at the latest. Later checkouts are possible until 1pm for an extra charge of €45. After 1pm, you will be charged the full rate of an extra night.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
We accept:
- MASTERCARD, VISA and AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards;
- ANCV holiday vouchers;
- Cash in euro currency;
- Contactless payment.
We do not accept checks or meal vouchers.
RESERVATION PROCESS
On-line booking on markus.fr is extremely simple, quick and secured.
Room vacancies and rates are updated in real time directly from our reservation system.
CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY
- FLEXIBLE RATE
In case of cancellation of your reservation less than 1 day prior to your arrival (before 4pm local time) or in case of a no-show at MARKUS, we reserve the right to charge your credit card for a part of the amount of the stay (equivalent to the first night).
In case of cancellation of your reservation more than 1 day prior to your arrival (before 4pm local time) at MARKUS, you will be refunded the full value of your down payment right away.
These terms do not apply in case of a reservation made as part of a “no cancellation, no refund and no modification” offer.
- NO CANCELLATION, NO REFUND RATE
They cannot be cancelled or refunded.
In case of no show, late arrival or early check out, 100% of the amount of the stay will be charged, including all services purchased upon reservation.
CRIBS
Only Deluxe, Executive rooms and the suite can accommodate a crib (€30/night for a baby under 3 years old). Strict safety rules forbid us to host more than 2 people (adults or children) in the same room. Extra beds, except cribs, can therefore not be added in a room.
We have nonetheless thought about families and we can offer 2 communicating rooms. Should you require this option, please call reception at +33 (0)2 30 31 41 00.
PETS
We love dogs! They are welcome at the hotel, but here are the rules to follow:
We only accept one pet per room. Only dogs are allowed, all other pets are strictly forbidden,
The owner of the pet must keep it in appropriate hygienic and sanitary conditions, vaccinated up to date and treated against fleas and ticks. We reserve the right to ask for the animal’s health record.
The owner is responsible for any damage caused by thier pet, whether to people, furniture, or the building. For damage to the hotel (furniture, parquet floors, baseboards, walls etc.), billing will be based on an estimate.
The hotel reserves the right not to accept pets that disturb other guests or behave inappropriately during their stay,
The owner must be responsible for their pet and its behaviour at all times,
The owner must keep it on a lead in the communal areas of the establishment,
Your pet must not be left alone in the room at any time, in order to avoid any barking or crying that could cause inconvenience to other guests staying there, as well as any damage to the furniture in the room.
TOBACCO AND VAPING
Our establishment is entirely nonsmoking. Smoking in the rooms (windows open or closed), bathrooms and toilet rooms is forbidden. Smokers are welcome to use the dedicated smoking area on the hotel’s outdoor terrace accessible round the clock.
In the event a room is found unfit to accommodate guests due to tobacco smell, there will be an extra charge of €120 for the cleaning of the curtains, bed cover and pillows.
WORTH MENTIONING
Rooms and more generally hotel equipment must be used in a due and responsible fashion.
Possible deteriorations or improper use of the room (additional cleaning) occurred during a stay as well as theft of hotel property will be charged for the value of the damage suffered. Such extra costs will be charged post-stay on the debit or credit card used for reservation guaranty purposes.
In case of inappropriate behavior with respect to good morals or public order, MARKUS may require the Guest(s) to leave the establishment at once without any possibility for refund or indemnification.
Minors must be attended by an adult in rooms reserved.
MARKUS cannot ensure that the room(s) you will be allocated are strictly identical to those featured on the markus.fr website. This is due to the fact that rooms of a same category/type within our establishment can differ from one another in terms of format, furniture layout, colors, etc. No claims in such respect will be accepted unless the differences evoked are substantially grounded.
Relocation:
In the unlikely event (excluding cases of force majeure) MARKUS was unable to honor a reservation, you would be entitled to either a refund for the amounts already paid or to be relocated in another nearby establishment at least of equivalent category (MARKUS would pay for the possible difference between the price of the room reserved initially and that of the new establishment).
Valuables:
Valuables must be stored in the room’s safe. We shall not be held responsible for the theft of personal belongings, objects, jewels or cash left unattended in a room.
Likewise, we shall not be held responsible for the consequences of a room door or window left open, not shut properly or unlocked.
Any failure to fulfill such obligations will be considered as negligence on your side for which you will bear all the consequences.
Identification and security:
In compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, you may be asked to fill in a police information form and produce a valid piece of ID upon your arrival at the hotel.
Internet use:
When accessing and using Internet, whether via a wired or wireless connection, you agree to the relevant Terms of Use.
Cookies and personal data:
Reservation procedure and browsing on the markus.fr website may imply the installation of cookies to memorize your user identification and access your personal account directly. You may however choose to disable such cookies in your browser’s parameters. CONSUMER OMBUDSMAN
After contacting the hotel’s customer service department, and in the absence of a satisfactory response within one month, the customer may refer the matter to the Médiateur du Tourisme et du Voyage, whose contact details are given below:

The customer is free to decide whether or not to seek mediation.
In the event of recourse to mediation by MARKUS HOTEL, the customer is also free to accept or refuse recourse to mediation.
Once the mediator’s decision has been rendered, each party is free to accept or refuse the solution proposed by the mediator.
