Reception

The reception welcomes you every day from 7 am to 8 pm (from 8 am on Sundays). Rooms are available between 4 pm and 8 pm.

Arriving earlier? A free, secure luggage room is at your disposal.

Parking

You can park your vehicle in the street next to the hotel (Rue des Arènes) or in the secure public car park Bressigny (45 Rue Bressigny – 49100 Angers), just a 3-minute walk from Markus.

Tarifs : 1,60 €/heure ou forfait journée à 12,80 €. Le stationnement est gratuit de 19h à 9h en semaine, ainsi que toute la journée le dimanche et les jours fériés.

Pets

Dogs are welcome at Markus.

Because we love our four-legged companions, we are delighted to welcome them at the hotel. We simply invite you to check our dedicated pet policy before your stay.

Accessibility

The hotel is fully accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

An elevator serves all floors, and the common areas (breakfast room, terrace, restrooms) are adapted.

In addition, a Deluxe Room on the first floor has been specially designed to welcome guests with reduced mobility, with an adapted bathroom, support bars, and generous circulation space.

Just remember to mention it when booking.

Manage My Bookings

Can I request a specific room?

If a particular décor catches your eye, we will be happy to guarantee that room — provided it is available at the time of booking.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Please check the conditions of your reservation. Flexible rate bookings can be canceled until 4 pm on the day before arrival.

If I’m traveling with a child, can I request an extra bed?

Markus provides a baby cot free of charge, but we do not offer additional beds.

Can three people stay in a double room?

For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate more guests than the room allows — that is, 2 people per room, with the exception of one child under 2 years old.

I have food intolerances (gluten, lactose). Does the hotel provide alternatives?

Please let us know at the time of booking or upon arrival, so we can prepare everything needed for a complete and suitable breakfast.

Check-in & check-out

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 4 pm, and check-out at 11 am. If you arrive earlier or leave later, we provide free and secure luggage storage at reception.

Can I request an early check-in or a late check-out?

Yes, subject to availability. Early check-in (between 1 pm and 4 pm) is charged €30 incl. tax. The same applies for late check-out (between 11 am and 1 pm). Please contact reception to book this option.

I forgot some belongings in my room after departure, what should I do?

Please contact reception at contact@markus.fr or +33 (0)2 30 31 41 00, and our receptionist will arrange to send your items back to you. Shipping costs remain your responsibility.

Services

Are pets allowed?

We love dogs! They are welcome at the hotel, but the following rules apply:
– Only one pet per room is accepted. Only dogs are allowed; any other pets are strictly forbidden.
– Owners must ensure their pet’s hygiene and health: vaccinations up to date, treated against fleas and ticks. We reserve the right to request the health record.
– Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pet, whether to people or to furniture. For hotel property, repair costs will be invoiced on quotation.
– The hotel reserves the right to refuse any pet that disturbs other guests or behaves inappropriately during the stay.
– Owners must supervise their pet at all times and take full responsibility for its behavior.
– Pets must be kept on a leash in all common areas of the hotel.
– Pets must never be left alone in the room, to avoid barking, whining, or damage to the furniture that may disturb other guests.

How much is breakfast?

Breakfast (served at the table, with local, organic, and/or homemade products) is €18. It can be included in the room rate if you choose this option when booking on our website.

Does the hotel have a gym?

No, the hotel does not have a dedicated gym. However, a yoga/fitness mat is available in all rooms (except the Comfort category) for relaxation and exercise.

How can I make a special request?

You can send us your special requests by email at contact@markus.fr or by phone at +33 (0)2 30 31 41 00. When booking on this website, you can also pre-order a bottle, flowers, macarons, or chocolates to be waiting in your room.

Is internet access charged?

No, Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel for all guests.

Do you offer a laundry service at the hotel?

Laundry is handled by an external service and is not available on Sundays. The hotel provides irons — and a steamer is available on request.

Can I park my car at Markus?

Markus does not have a private car park. You can park in the adjacent street (Rue des Arènes) or in the public multistory car park (Parking Bressigny), just a 2-minute walk from Markus. See the document “Where to Park?”.

Do you provide a luggage storage service?

Yes, luggage storage is available free of charge for all hotel guests on the day of arrival and on the day of departure.

Do you offer a concierge service?

Our receptionists are concierges at heart: they will advise you according to your wishes and love to share their favorite addresses, for an Angers experience off the beaten path.

Does the room have a safe?

All our rooms are equipped with individual safes.

Is Markus accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

Yes, the entire hotel is accessible via elevator. We also have a room specially designed for guests with reduced mobility.

What is the minimum age to book a room?

Rooms are available to all guests aged 18 and over.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Holiday Vouchers (paper or digital), and cash. Checks are not accepted.
